Our Story
Small Batch Coffee was born from a simple belief: the best coffee doesn't need to shout. It needs patience, the right beans, and hands that know when to step back.
Every lot we source is selected for what it can express — origin, varietal, the care of the grower. We roast in small quantities so no two batches lose their character. The result is a cup that tastes like somewhere specific, not like everywhere.
Our space on East Meadow Ave is built for lingering. Whether you're grabbing a morning pour-over or settling in with a book and a flat white, the rhythm here is yours to set.
The Process
We work directly with farmers and importers who share our standards. Every bag comes with a story — the altitude, the varietal, the processing method — and we choose only what tastes right.
Roasting happens in small batches right here in East Meadow. We dial in each origin to highlight its natural character — never pushing it past where it wants to be.
Every espresso is weighed, timed, and tasted before it leaves the bar. Every pour-over is poured with attention to bloom, rate, and total yield. The details matter.
The last step is the most important. We set the cup down and step back — your experience is the point, not our performance. Stay as long as you like.
